• Penne pasta (or another type with a hole in it)
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Sellotape
  • String 

  • Ask your child to paint the pasta
  • Leave to dry
  • Cut the string to the required length
  • Wrap Sellotape around one end of the string (tip – this needs to be longer than a piece of pasta to enable easier threading).
  • Ask your child to thread the pasta on to the string
  • Tie each end of string together to make a necklace or bracelet
